Have a passion, a goal, or a dream, but don’t know how to get there? We can help.
Training the next generation of leaders, today.
Students Advocating for Change Today, or Students ACT, serves as a re-directory for junior high, high school, and college-age students to get involved with the passions and projects that they feel lead to achieve.
The formation of Students ACT was inspired by a WWII story discovered in 2016, and was originally called “Hailey’s Heroes for Veterans.” The initiative has since expanded to encompass heroes in all walks of life.
WHO WE ARE
Students ACT is a team of individuals based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana who are trained in youth advocacy and leadership. Students ACT began in 2016 when founder Hailey Enamorado was inspired by a story of a WWII veteran, Ivory Disotell, in her family. She began her own initiative, “Hailey’s Heroes for Veterans” to give back to the heroes that inspired her, in her hometown of Denham Springs, Louisiana. Since 2016, Hailey has expanded her initiative to include heroes in all walks of life, so that every student in her community has the chance to either find their hero, or to be their own. The expansion of this initiative has since become named and known as Students Advocating for Change Today.
The aim of Students ACT is not only to inspire youth in this community to find their passions, but to help them achieve good through service to others.
WHAT WE DO
Students ACT serves as a re-directory to aid individuals in direct involvement with already existing organizations in their community, or to provide training and funding to create their own. Often, students feel called to serve their community in some capacity, but do not know how to get involved. Students ACT solves this issue by providing the contact information, connection, training, and funding for students who want to get involved. Essentially, you contact us, we connect you. Students ACT works in three simple steps: 1. hit the contact button at the top of the page, 2. email us about what kind of organization you want to work with or volunteer service you want to provide, and 3. we send you a personalized plan of action for you to get involved in your selected community, and provide you with the resources necessary to do so.
We believe that heroes are not born, they are created. Our mission is to inspire students to become the heroes in their community through selfless service to those in need.
“Heroes are not born, they are created.”
